CONTEST RULES:

All internal contests in PSV shall consist of three (3) Divisions:
1. Monochrome/Black & White Prints
2. Color Prints
3. Digitally Projected Images

There will be NO distinction between computer manipulation...all images will be judged together. NO "stock photography". All parts of the image,must be that of the maker.

To constitute a competition, there must be at least two (2) makers with a minimum of three (3) entries total.

Each member is permitted a maximum of four (4) entries in each Division. Each contest will be designated in one of the following categories:Open-Open and Assigned. Each entrant must conform to the category.

There are two "Class Competition" Levels...Salon & Exhibition; Salon being the advanced group.

Exhibition Class:

• Once you win 5 times (1st, 2n, 3d) in Exhibition, you move up to Salon.
• There will be no “Year End “wins” for Exhibition Class. All entries, win or lose in Exhibition Class CAN be eligible for entry into Salon if and when the member moves up…… therefore giving a chance to possibly win in the Salon and maybe eligible for Year End honors! 

A Member can advance to the Salon Category at anytime if you so chose to, but cannot drop back once moved up.

DEFINITION OF TERMS:

NATURE: Wild Flowers, Wild Animals, Insects. NO Scenics-NO "Hand of Man"
OPEN-OPEN: Any subject matter (exclusive of nature).
ASSIGNED: Specific subject matter as ASSIGNED PRIOR TO CONTEST. (Entries must be taken within the present PSV year except for Nature.)

RULES FOR PRINTS:

1. Print size may be 3 1/2 x 5" to 16 x 20" for internal competition.
2. All prints must be mounted woth "TOP" printed on the back, title & your name.
3. Mounts must be at least 8 x 10" and no larger than 16 x 20".
4. Entries must be registered before 7:00 P.M. on the night of the contest. Entries received later than 6:50P.M. may be rejected from that contest at the discretion of the registrar.

RULES FOR DIGITAL PROJECTED

1. Projected images file size: 1050 Pixel Dimensions (horizontal or vertical) .
2. Projected images must be sent via the Competition Entry website.. no later than 12 midnight Tuesday before the competition.

VOTING:

Entries shall be judged by a panel of Judges selected from the Club's Medal holders on a rotating basis. The voting machine will be used and Judges shall score from one (1) to (9) on each entry . All ties shall be broken.

RECOGNITION:

Awards will be given to the First, Second and Third place winners. Honorable Mention Awards shall number 10% of the total entries in each division

YEAR END COMPETITION:Year End Competition:

All First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention winners throughout the year shall be eligible. There must be at least ten (10) eligible entries in a division to justify a judging in said Division. First, Second and Third Places will be awarded in each Division.
